The Family Massacre

I had a strange dream last night and woke up today feeling a bit shaken up. In the dream, a guy my grandma had been with, and one of his friends, came to our house in a violent rage. My grandma hid in the house somewhere, and the rest of us decided to fight. It was like one big massacre, except no one died. Knives were swinging, people were being cut, and yet no one died or was seriously injured. I called Wesley to come rescue us. He had no idea what was going on, but I told him to bring lots of weapons. Unfortunately, my phone cut off and he never heard that part. He shows up with nothing to defend himself. Almost getting his fingers chopped off, I jumped in and saved him. After a while, Wesley and I escaped in his car. We went to contact the police who showed up and arrested the two psychos.

I find dreams to be very interesting. Every dream we have symbolizes something happening in our life. It isn't always obvious, so I decided to look this dream up using the dream dictionary.

"To see blood in your dream, represents life, love, and passion as well as disappointments. To dream that you are bleeding or losing blood, signifies that you are suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally drained."

I would definitely agree with that. With everything going on with my money/moving situation, and having to work more these days, I am drained.

"To witness a massacre in your dream, suggests that you are a follower. You follow the ideals of others without question and hesitation."

Well, I never was much of a leader, to be honest.

"To dream that you are fighting to the death, indicates that you are unwilling to acknowledge a waking conflict or your own inner turmoil. You are unwilling and refusing to change your old attitudes and habits."

I'm not really sure what this means. It could be that I am afraid of moving because I won't be as close to work anymore and I don't want to have to work two jobs.

"To see your boyfriend in your dream, represents your waking relationship with him and how you feel about him."

The fact that I was trying to save him and risk my own safety shows just how much I care about him, even though in real life he doesn't always think so.

"To dream that you are carrying a knife, signifies anger, aggression and/or separation. There may be something in your life that you need to cut out and get rid of. To dream that you are wounded by a knife, is symbolic of masculine or animalistic aggression."

I definitely have a lot of anger and aggression built up inside from being hurt by people and everything else bad that has happened in my life.

"To see a wound in your dream, is symbolic of grief, anger, and distress. You are looking to be healed."

This is definitely true, I would say. I think this dream proves that I have some underlying issues in my life.

Twister 2.0
Posted on: June 24, 2008 at 2:28 pm (2 months, 2 weeks ago)

It all started when I was supposed to be going bowling with some friends. After leaving the bowling alley, the weather suddenly changes. The wind picks up and knocks me to the ground. I go to get up, and when I look behind me, there is a large Twister. Not just any twister, but a sidewinder! There is no telling where it will go or what it will hit.

We make a run for it. The twister is not far behind. It's blowing dust and debris our way, which makes it hard to see. Somehow we get split up, and I'm all alone. After what seemed like an eternity of torture, I make it back to the house. My dad is in the kitchen cooking. "What are you doing? There's a tornado happening. The twister is headed this way," I say. We try and find a place to hide, but nowhere is safe. If we go in the basement, and it hits the house, the whole house could collapse on top of us.

Too late. We feel a jolt that knocks us to the ground. We look out the window and the twister is spinning around rapidly in our backyard. Suddenly, it weakens and then finally disappears. It's over. We made it! I walk into my bedroom where I find my wall completely dented in, and debris laying across my floor. The twister hit my bedroom of all places. Great. Just great.

Then I woke up.
