Grocery stores are evil

Normally I don't blog this close together as I prefer to space my entries out a little bit, but I'm bored, so why the hell not? I went to wal-mart today and spent almost $80. I'm supposed to be saving my money since I'm going to the beach, but that didn't work well. I only wanted a few things, but I walked out with bags of stuff. Junk food, mostly. Cookies, granola bars, fruit snacks, cakes, and you name it. I also ended up buying three things of ice cream. Yes, you read that correctly. Three! I couldn't decide between the butterfinger, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate peanut butter cup, so I got them all. I don't know what I was thinking. One would have been plenty. I tend to get carried away when I'm getting groceries. I even bought two things of deodorant because I couldn't decide whether the Orchard Blossom or the Sweet Strawberry smelled better. Oh well, now I can switch it up so I'm not wearing the same scent all the time. The baby powder smell was starting to really get old.

My weekends are chill
Posted on: May 09, 2008 at 12:18 am (1 month, 3 weeks ago)

While I used to enjoy partying, I very rarely do anymore. These days I prefer to just chill out at home with a cozy blanket, wearing PJ's, and munching down while watching a movie. This weekend I am going to my dad's again, and that's on our agenda. He's already bought some snacks for us. My job is to bring the movies. I haven't decided on any yet, but we're both big horror fans so I'm sure I'll be taking plenty of those.

Some of our favorite horror films.

Ever since I was a kid, we would always make a plate up before watching a movie. Here are some things we often include:

▪ Cheese (The type of cheese varies, but pepperjack is my favorite).
▪ Pickles
▪ Hot Cauliflower
▪ Pepperoncinis
▪ Banana Peppers
▪ Crackers
▪ Olives
▪ Lunchmeat

When you have a movie night, what types of films do you like to watch, and what do you eat along with them?

A few things (food & drink related) that I can't get enough of lately.

Rockstar Energy Drink - Definitely my favorite by far. I started out loving Red Bull, which I still drink occasionally, but I find that Rockstar tastes better. Not to mention, it's cheaper, and you get more for your money. There is a down side, however. I think I'm becoming addicted. Note to self: Sipping on some Rockstar at 1 am is not a good thing.

Deli Creations Sandwiches - I don't cook, so I live off of store-bought items like subs and frozen microwave dinners. Lately, I can't get enough of these sandwiches that you stick in the microwave. It is one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. My favorite is the Turkey & Cheddar Dijon.

Dragonfire Chicken - Friday's is my favorite restaurant, and Wesley and I go there quite a bit. I used to always get the Bruschetta Chicken Pasta, but I decided to branch out and try some new things. However, now I'm hooked on the Dragonfire Chicken, and I've been getting it a lot the past few times I've ate there. The meal consists of rice, broccoli, and chicken topped with spicy Kung Pow sauce and mandarin oranges. My mouth is watering as I type this. If you like spicy foods, definitely give this a try. It has a nice kick to it, but it's not so bad that you can't stand it.

Aunt Jemima Griddlecakes - A great breakfast food, but I eat it any time of day. It's really easy and fast to fix. It only takes a minute, so it's perfect for before work when I am always rushing around. If you're wondering what it is, it's ham or sausage, egg, and cheese in between two pancakes. Syrup is already built into the pancakes, and it's the perfect amount.
