I started out my weekend by leaving work early on Friday. I had put in a request so I could hang out with my family to celebrate Halloween. We always have a little family gathering every year. I am not much of a drinker anymore, however I got wasted. I had a pretty good time aside from making a fool of myself and feeling sick for a few hours (but thankfully I didn't get sick). I woke up the next day feeling like death. I hate hangovers so much, which is one of the reasons I rarely drink.
Today, I just hung around my dad's house all day and socialized with some of my family. I was mad that my dad went to stay at his girlfriend's house, even though he knew I was coming up for the weekend. Wesley came over and we watched a movie (Ghost Rider) and fooled around. After he left, I looked in the mirror at my nose piercing, because it had been bothering me. I have been having problems with it for months. There is a bump that just will not go away no matter what I do. Upon looking in the mirror, I noticed that the stud was not visible. The bump had overlapped my stud! I started freaking out a little. I had to push the stud through the bump which felt like a pinch and it started bleeding quite a bit. I was hesitant, but decided on taking the piercing out. Having that piece of jewelry in my nose was just irritating it and it appears the bump would not go away as long as it is in. So I have taken it out, and I am deeply sad. I have grown attached to my piercings, so this is a loss for me. However, I had to do what I had to do. I just hope now that the jewelry is out, it can finally heal with minimal scarring.

I've only ever been hungover once, never again!! haha, it was terrible. glad to hear that you had fun though.
you should've gone back to the piercing studio, or at least your doctor, before taking the piercing out - especially since you said you had a cyst (thats what the bump is) over top of it. would minimize the risk of infection etc.

Yupp, that is what happened to me. I got a big bump on my nose and thought that it was a zit and would go away, but it just got bigger and bigger. Eventually, I had to take my piercing out =[ So sad. I was angry!
I've never gotten a hangover, but I'm assuming it is really bad =[ I'm sorry your papa dukes wasn't there the weekend you were =/
Ouch! I hope your taking out of the piercing didn't hurt too much, and that you'll feel better soon about it being gone. I hope you're over your hangover as well (I've never had one, but I've heard it's bad). I hope you enjoyed Ghost Rider too (I want to see that!). XD

I've wanted one for so long, so I hope I won't remember this when I go to get mine done. The story made my eyes water up a little because it sounded so painful.

I drank once in my life, it was the first and the last. I only had one beer and I felt sick. Haha. I watched Ghost Rider this weekend also for the first time. I'm so sorry to hear about your piercing. It must of hurt. Ouch! I hope it heals properly so you can go back to wearing it once again.

cute layout and site it is so nice! And i know what you mean I don't drink very often because of the feeling you get afterwords. You need to put a cleaning solution on your bump I got the same thing with my lip piercing and took it out and talked to the piercer about it because I was rather upset about having to take it out after just getting it done and I kept my mouth very clean too. There is a solution called ocean something and if you apply it and pop the puss bubble then it will go away and just keep cleaning it with the solution ;]

Aww. Sorry about your nose and your piercing. Hopefully it's not a severe infection of some sort. I don't have any piercings because I fear the infections and my skin scars very easily.
I know this was quite a few days ago, but I had a similar experience with my ears. I've had them pierced for two years now, but they insist on giving me problems STILL. I ended getting a big bump behind my right ear (the biggest problem ear). All my mom did was take out my earring and pop the bump with a Q-tip. Boy, did that blood spatter and pus ooze. -reminisces-
Anyways, then we cleaned my piercings and earrings and put them back in.
Who knows, maybe someday you can put it back in (though it sounds like you'll need to get it re-pierced) and have no more problems with it.
