Victor Crowley was a disfigured boy kept hidden away to protect him from bullies. During a prank gone wrong, the Crowley house catches on fire. In an effort to save his son, Victor's dad uses a hatchet to break through the door, not realizing that Victor was standing right there. Fast forward. A group of people decide to go on a haunted swamp tour. What they don't know is that their tour guide is a fraud, and that swamp had been closed for years. Their tour boat wrecks into some rocks and begins to sink. Now they are stuck in the swamps all alone. Or are they? It isn't long before the bodies start to pile up, and the characters are left fighting for their survival.
This movie was a lot better than I had expected. I should have known I would like it, being that slashers are my favorite. I loved that Tony Todd, Kane Hodder, and Robert Englund were all in this movie together. They all played killers (Candyman, Jason, Freddy) in other horror movies, and it was cool to have the villains all together in one movie, even if they were playing other characters. The film had some gory death scenes which definitely makes it worth watching. It's also a throwback to 80's horror. It was similar to Friday the 13th in a way, only in the swamps instead of a lake. If you're a fan of movies like that, you will most likely enjoy this movie. Definitely worth checking out if you are a horror fan.
