I feel like such an idiot. After work last night, I drove to my dad's house. I went to park where I usually do, but there was some stuff in the way. I should have just left my car sit in the middle of the driveway, but I decided to back it down to the end of the driveway and park in the grass. Bad idea. It was really dark and hard to see. I had the light from my tail lights, but I was still having trouble. I was almost to the spot I was planning to park when I feel a jolt. I immediately knew that I hit the tree (that is right beside of the driveway). I started shaking because I was afraid of the damage I had done. I've only had the car for 4 months and I still have 3 years left to pay on it.
My dad heard me crash and came out with a flashlight. One of my back tail lights was broken and dented in. Apart from the lens cover being broken, everything works. The brake light was out, but my dad fixed that today, as well as some dents. It doesn't look nearly as bad as it did. I'll still need to buy a new lens cover, however. I wish I had a picture to show you, but the plug to my camera is at my mom's house.
Aside from that, my dad's (ex?) girlfriend showed up today. They broke up about a month ago, and I haven't seen her since. I heard her talking this morning and thought I was dreaming. To my surprise, she was awake and in the living room. I'm not sure if they are back together or not. Maybe they are just friends. It's just weird and confusing because I like her, but the whole month that I had my dad to myself, I loved it. I heard part of her conversation to my Grandma. She said, "I've been eating a lot of chocolate lately. When you're used to having sex and then don't have it anymore, chocolate is the next best thing." That was slightly TMI, but kind of funny at the same time. I'm addicted to chocolate regardless.

. Your dad's Ex should not had said that you your g-ma ewwww can someone say uncomfortable lols
Thankfully your car wasn't damaged too much
.
LOL, that must've been weird to hear…
Aww honey, I am just glad you re ok and not hurt physically in some way!
bet it was kinda traumatic since you have 3 years to pay but if the damae isnt that bad dont fret about it!!
*hug*
Hehe, yep chocolate rocks!
Wow, what a coincidence. We both did the same thing. When I had my Mustang, I was backing out of my mom's driveway at night. There's a tree planted right next to the driveway, which I think is really stupid. Anyway it was at night as well and couldn't see very well. I ended up backing into it. Luckily for me most of the damage was sustained by the tree. My bumper only suffered scratches that weren't too deep.
However, that wasn't the only incident I ever had with my car. So many things happened to that car that everyone told me to get rid of it. It was the last straw when a guy nearly bulldozed me after running a stop sign. I couldn't believe it. It's someone else's problem now, ha!
Good luck with getting it fixed. I know all too well the woes of buying a new car and having stuff like that happen to it. You try your hardest to take care of it, but it seems like the harder you try, the more stuff happens to it. Just be glad you're okay.
Wow, that sucks majorly, but at least YOU weren't hurt.
And also, that's … awkward that you heard that. I would have backed away very slowly and tried to erase it from my memory.
I'm just relieved you weren't injured in your accident. And thankfully, the car didn't suffer that much damage either =)
I'm not going to imagine my parents even having a go at saying something like that. I mean, they're over fifty years old and it's just wrong pmsl
Do you find you freak out more than you'd like to? In this situation it was ok to start shaking because the car was stopped, but I remember your story about the detour causing you to cry. Sometimes you need to suppress your emotions until you can get to a safe place. Sorry if I sound like an ass… just want you to stay safe and happy.
Man that sucks! It doesn't sound like it costs too much to repair though, so that's good. I backed into a tree once, in broad daylight. Actually, I hit the tree because, there was another one in front of me. Somehow I managed to park directly between two trees, leaving less than a foot space to manuver. It took my fiance 10 minutes to get it out..heh.
Aw, Im sorry about your car, that's unfortunate. Haha sounds like I should start eating a ton of chocolate lol too bad I don't like chocolate lol.
I'm so sorry about your car. It's really stressful when things like that happen. I shook like a leaf when I hit my friend's house (yes, a house). Good thing your Dad was able to fix some of the damage.
And lol @ the TMI moment. I love when I overhear my parents talking like that. Always a good opportunity to bust balls.
Oh no! I definitely know that feeling. I left a party the other night and the roads were so tiny, that I almost backed out into a telephone poll! That wouldn't have been very nice =/
Anyway, at least it was minor damage and your dad was able to fix part of it
This is why I hate driving at night!
I scraped the back of a car slightly while pulling into a parking spot. Fortunately it was just a paint scrape from my old oxygenized car, so all the other car needed was to be wiped. But damn I can't imagine damaging the car; I'd get my ass set on fire by my uncle. O_o
Chocolate = heaven.
Oh how sad! Least it's not too much damage. And good thing your Dad fixed it!
Haha, i'd say you heard the wrong part of their conversation ;P
And I agree, chocolate is the best thing ever.
Oh man. I almost backed into a tree once. I was parked in my friends driveway, and it was the first time I had driven my new truck to her house because she lives on a hill and her driveway is REALLY steep and I had just learned how to drive a stick… anyway, when I was leaving, I just popped it in neutral to roll out of the drive way… so after I was out, I turned to look behind me, and had turned just enough that I missed the tree by like, 2 inches. No joke. I was like "… omg that would have sucked!"
I'm glad there wasn't much damage to the car and it was easy to fix though!
I once got the side of my car stuck to a pole (…. don't ask how I managed that) and we weren't able to get the dents completely out
And.. haha on the TMI!
Wow, that sucks, I'm glad your car wasn't too badly damaged, and you weren't injured!
