Most of the visitors that I acquire from search engines is due to people searching for "Britney." My assumption is that they are searching for Britney Spears and not some 19 year old girl's blog. Damn it! Why must I have the same name as her? I wouldn't mind if it were just a few visitors searching for her, but I want my site to be found because they were searching for topics that are actually contained within my blog. I have Caturday, where I post cat pictures each week, and I do movie reviews, etc. Why can't I gain visitors because they are searching for something like that? It pisses me off, you know?
There is one thing I could do. I could always change my name and use an alias while blogging, but no. I like people knowing about me. I don't want to hide myself. Shit, yo! Now I will probably get even more visitors searching for her now. Well at least it's not a complete waste, considering this is actually a post related to her. Damn you, Britney! See what you've done?!

LOL OMG girl you always make me laugh with your posts!I hear where you're coming from though. I wouldn't want people to come to my blog because they are searching for Amy Winehouse hahaha. I'd be stuck with a bunch of tattoo covered druggies reading about the upcoming birth of my baby. ROFL No offense if you're a fan of Amy's music (:P)
Don't change your name tho and hide who you are. It's not worth it.
That must suck to have a visitor come across your blog as in searching for Britney Spears. What the hey, who cares. Don't worry about changing yourself. It ain't cool to be something else. Meh, a lot of people think I am this international model for sports car magazines just because this person have my first and last name.
Britney is indeed a very common name. But at least the majority of people are able to pronounce it. My name always get mistaken for the city in Saskatchewan. 
You could view it as a plus side, you know. Maybe even put up some "snarky" message about not being Britney Spears.
For me, any visitor is an important visitor… so I try to make the most of them, regardless of how they got here.
Haha, at least it's just your first name. Even when people search my full name, they're usually looking for the fashion designer with my name. And the rest of my searches look like they're more interested in porn than a blog, so I'm not sure how that works out… I'm now convinced the majority of hits on any blog are the result of a bad search!
But hey, at least you're getting hits from celebrity-crazed maniacs. :p
I constantly get people searching for 'sexy girls' and 'menstruation porn' so you know, it could always be worse.
Lol. Seeing Britney was born before you, it's not really her fault. Blame your parents! haha… But dang, I kinda hoped you were her. I guess I'll take your site off my reader now
i'd be mad too! but at least you're getting visitors though. nobody ever comes to mine! ;( but thats kind of my fault though, haha.
What Holly said, it could be worse I get the weirdest pervertest referrals (Miriam College scandal, wtf haha…I went to Miriam College, so that's no surprise, but still). It's mostly funny heh.
LOL you guys. You all are silly. I love you. I am thankful for all my visitors. I was was trying to state how I would rather get visitors based on the topics I write about, you know? But it's all good.
However, I do get a lot of visitors based on a blog I wrote before about kids sticking things up their nose, haha. It's unbelievable how many people search for that.
