My weekends are chill

While I used to enjoy partying, I very rarely do anymore. These days I prefer to just chill out at home with a cozy blanket, wearing PJ's, and munching down while watching a movie. This weekend I am going to my dad's again, and that's on our agenda. He's already bought some snacks for us. My job is to bring the movies. I haven't decided on any yet, but we're both big horror fans so I'm sure I'll be taking plenty of those.

Some of our favorite horror films.

Ever since I was a kid, we would always make a plate up before watching a movie. Here are some things we often include:

▪ Cheese (The type of cheese varies, but pepperjack is my favorite).
▪ Pickles
▪ Hot Cauliflower
▪ Pepperoncinis
▪ Banana Peppers
▪ Crackers
▪ Olives
▪ Lunchmeat

When you have a movie night, what types of films do you like to watch, and what do you eat along with them?

I love it! I eat during movies too. I'm trying to lose weight now so I try to do healthy, but I will plan my TV/movies around my meals rather than eating just 'cause I'm watching TV. My faves are any kind of Mexi or spicy food. Last time I rented a movie I ate spicy hot wings. I don't really like popcorn anymore. Tonight I kinda want to get a couple donuts and have some ice cream… :)

Mmm ice cream lol. I was never much on popcorn either.

I enjoy movies that defy or redefine reality… science fiction, fantasy or maybe even a kung fu movie. I like to learn all about the new worlds being shown to me, so sometimes foreign films are good.

If I'm not having a meal, I might have some pizza, pretzels, ice cream, chips, cheese dip, salsa or hot snacks like pizza or egg rolls. Usually some popcorn, nuts and candy are available, too. Sometimes the food will be chosen to match the movie, like having chinese takeout with a kung fu movie.

I love movie nights. A couple of DVD's, my friends, and some good junk food and conversation makes for a good time.

Yum. I love pickles (or gherkins, or whatever). Especially in sandwiches with peanut butter. Mmm.
