Jane is just your average pothead. After taking a hit off her bong, she gets the munchies. She gets into her roommates cupcakes, which clearly state not to be eaten. She eats them anyway. About an hour later, she realizes the true nature of the cupcakes. They are pot-laced. Stoned off her ass, she realizes she needs to bake more cupcakes, go to her audition, pay the electrical bill, and pay her dealer. They might seem like simple tasks, but when she tries to complete them in the wrong state of mind, she just digs herself an even deeper hole.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, but I ended up loving it. Watching Jane's stoned adventures just had me rolling. The casting was perfect for this movie. Smiley Face would be nothing without Anna Faris as the lead. She totally makes the movie. She is just adorable, and her range of facial expressions still amazes me. I also enjoyed the appearance by Jane Lynch. Her reaction to Jane's drug proposal had me in tears. There are also some great appearances by John Cho (American Pie, Harold & Kumar go to White Castle), who has a perverted day dream of Jane, and Adam Brody (The O.C.), who plays Jane's hippie-looking drug dealer.

Smiley Face is the type of movie to watch when you just want to sit back, relax, and have a good laugh. I was feeling a little down in the dumps, but as soon as I watched this film, it lifted my mood. If you like silly stoner humor, or you are a fan of Anna Faris, definitely check this out.
