The Dark Knight

Everyone and their mother is talking about The Dark Knight right now. I might as well do the same, except my perspective on the movie is a bit different than most. I was basically dragged to the film as I had no prior intentions on seeing the movie any time soon. I was never into the superhero movies. Although, if I had to pick a favorite superhero, I would definitely choose Batman. Wesley and his friends decided to go to the imax theater in D.C. to see it and invited me a long. I figured I would go to see what all the hype was about and to get out of this crappy town.

I don't know why we went to see it at an imax theater, which costs more money, just to watch it on a bigger screen. The screens in regular movie theaters are big enough for me. Although I am glad I got to get out of town for a day and do something different. I just wish I wouldn't worry so much. I felt constantly worried the whole time, and I think I even had an anxiety attack at one point. I was whining a lot and probably getting on everyone's nerves. I was even getting on my own nerves a little. Why can't I be like everyone else and not worry all the time? It ruins my life!

Okay, back to the movie itself. I went into the movie thinking I might really like it considering all the high ratings it's been getting. However, I once again conclude that I'm obviously not like most people. I'm probably one of the few to say this, but I wasn't too thrilled with the movie. It's not that I didn't like it, but I didn't love it either. There were some really good scenes that I enjoyed, but there were also some that I found a little boring. At one point I was actually starting to drift off. I had to force myself to stay awake. I won't blame the movie though. I think I was just really tired from running around and stuff. I get worn out really quick.

I most likely won't see the movie again. If for some reason I do, it's only because of the Joker. He was a great character. Heath Ledger really did an amazing job playing someone so mental. Overall, the movie wasn't bad. It just wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Then again, I'm the girl that would much prefer watching some cheesy horror flick with sex craved teens getting slaughtered.

I haven't seen it yet, but I would really like to. I know everyone is raving on and on about it, some like it, some don't - but I have to see for myself. I'm most excited about watching Heath Ledger - I know for sure he did an excellent job, just from looking at the previews. Teen horror flicks - I like those as well. lol Sex crazed teens getting slaughtered. ^^

Well, I saw both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I must say I liked the first one a lot better. The dark knight was entertaining and all, but it didn't catch as the first one did.

Christian Bale is a great Batman and even Ledger did a great job as the Joker, I don't think he would've got so much praise had he not died.

Hey… I haven't seen it yet either, but I'd like to cuz I like Christian Bale as Batman also.

As for the worrying you do - we all do it if we care about anything important and have the proper values in place, but it took me a few years of life to get past the kind of worry that would tie my stomach into knots too. A co-worker, an older guy who I didn't really get along with, said one thing of significance in all the time I worked with him and I've tried to live by it ever since: "Be concerned about something, but don't worry - worrying won't make anything better, and just being concerned about it keeps you aware of the importance, which is all a responsible person can do". The result is you know there is something to deal with, but you don't dwell on it so much that you make yourself sick. As they say, life's too short…
